Millie and the Impossible Battle Chapter 2

The Time I Found Out My Principal was Really a Super Spy Cat

"WAIT, I AM WHAT?!" I screamed in disbelief. "Adopted, well sort of. I guess you could call it that." She rubbed her chin thoughtfully. "I put you with these abhorrent and hateful people for a reason, I am truly sorry about your first 14 years but it was for the sake of humanity that it was done." She said sadly. "I don't believe this. I am calling my parents." I said as I fumbled for my cell phone. "I wouldn't if I were you, they never listened to you before what makes you think they will listen to you now child? Besides this was decided upon when you were born, they have left town and moved. You will never see them again and for good reason." "I don't believe you, let alone do I eve know who you are. You still have yet to tell me your name so give me a good reason to believe anything you say?" I said eying her. She got up from her seat in her velvet red dress suit an walked over to me, she knealt down and whispered "Have you not had dreams, strange dreams that wake you and you're found floating above your bed? Have you never had strange things happen, things you just can't explain without looking mad? By the silence, I am guessing that you have." She got up, straightened herself and walked back to her seat to sit down.
She wasn't inaccurate. Just yesterday, I walked next to a barren tree and it gree leaves and blossomed cherries in under 1 minute. The time before that, a racoon followed me around for 3 days before he finally disappeared. I couldn't explain it and it definitely didn't help me with my situation at school.
"Who are you?" I asked. "I am known as Diana Stefani in this lifetime, but you probably know me better as the Goddess Artemis." "Woman you are officially out of your mind, completely and totally mad as you said it. I am getting security." I turned and caught her move her hand. The office doors slammed shut and locked without any movement except her hand. "I wouldn't if I were you. Now sit and have some of this delicious tea and cookies I had your really kind principal bring to me. You know, under that dusty exterior she is quite... purrrrrfect!" She giggled. I looked over to the cat. Then back to her. "Wait, you changed her into a cat?" "BAHAHA! I guess you could say that, or you could say I saw an opportunity an I pounced!" Diana laughed and the cat or should I say my principal the cat, rolled her eyes and jumped off the desk to only climb onto her lap and curl up in it, and proceeded to fall asleep. "I am confused..." I told her scratching my head. "No, I didn't 'make her a cat' God did that, I merely turned her human so that I could keep an eye on you without risking our cover." "You're telling me you're a godddess and my principal was or is or whatever, really a super spy cat, you sent to spy on me?" "Basically yup." "But gods and goddesses aren't real... How? If you guys exist, does that mean God doesn't?" "God? Oh he's completely real alright, but that is a whole different metaphysical matter that I personally do not have the time nor the resources for I will have to let someone else explain to you that aspect. As far as us," she pointed backk an forth to her and I, vice verse, "goddesses and gods go, we do exist. We are mortal... do an extent. We are here to do god's bidding, helped protect darkness from once more controlling the earth. So each lifetime we are reincarnated knowing our full duties from birth, usually we are trained with our powers and gift sets as a child but you were... different." I shook my head, I couldn't believe what she was telling me.
"You mean, me I mean I am a goddess?" I sputtered out of my mouth. That's why it happened, it came so fast I couldn't breathe. No knock just an explosion, in the hallway. "Oh crap, we need to go NOW." She got up and pulled me out of the chair. "NOW, unless you wanna be a fried goddess I would say we should RUN."
